Born and raised on opposite coasts, the creative duo of Gremonstyne met while working at a New York City based fashion house in 2018. Carlos Medina is a Los Angeles native who moved to New York City after being accepted into the womenswear design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Greg Hermonstyne, who’s name was abbreviated to form the brand’s name, was born and raised in New York City. After attending Kingsborough College, Hermonstyne continued to pursue fashion by seeking hands-on experience at different fashion brands. 

Their first collection titled “Genesis” was meant to initiate a collision of the two ethnic backgrounds, pulling inspiration from Hermonstyne’s Puerto-Rican and Guyanese roots and Medina’s Mexican upbringing. With an urban take on formal wear, the Gremonstyne team aspires to create an exceptionally bold aesthetic that continues to redefine itself with each season.
