For our first collection as a collaborative brand we wanted to create a story that taps into our roots and our heritage. Throughout the design process we drew inspiration from cultural commonalities, with nods to the Chicano culture which originated in Los Angeles where Mexican-American designer Carlos Medina is originally from. We also explored silhouettes taken from Puerto Rican folklore being that Greg Hermonstyne is of Puerto Rican-Guyanese decent and a New York native. We wanted to deliver an introductory series of looks that represent us as individuals and showcase our work as a creative duo and brand.
